About the event
Everyone in the community is invited to participate in our Recycled Art Contest. Hosted with support from the Hampton Soil and Water Conservation District and Keep Hampton County Beautiful, the theme for this contest is the natural beauty of Hampton County. Think about the abundance of local wildlife, swamps and lakes, local culture & history, and fun in the sun! Entries must be recently created from at least 80% recyclables or trash material. $1000 in prize money will be awarded in several categories.
All art submissions are due April 15th to the Stanley Fine Arts Center. Judging will take place the following week and winners will be notified & announced at our Earth Day celebration on April 22nd. All submitted work will be on display along with art created by professional artists! Reception begins at 4pm, inside the Stanley Arts Center.
Individuals, clubs, schools, churches, families, and even businesses are all encouraged to participate. Maybe you envision a life-sized sculpture of an Aligator? Or a Lake Warren sunset created out of bottle caps? Whatever your vision, here's your chance to use your creativity to bring awareness to keeping Hampton County beautiful and litter free!
